Thinolestris obscura Grootaert & Meuffels, 1989, Indo­Malayan Zoology 5: 35 (Fig. 6).

Diagnosis: Antenna reddish yellow, third segment darker than basal segments. Palp with white hairs. Mesonotum and scutellum brownish black. Abdomen with all tergites dark brown, except for first tergite with a narrow yellow band anteriorly. Tergites with short white hairs and pale marginal seta. Tip of hypandrium shallowly indented (Fig. 15).

Distribution: Indonesia: North Sulawesi: Celebes Sea.

Phenology: Adults observed only in September (being the only collecting period).
