Conservation: IUCN – Not Evaluated as R. c. cirnei and R. c. hendersoni; otherwise Vulnerable.
Discussion: Six isolated forest-inhabiting subspecies are recognized by Corbet and Hanks (1968:57) and Corbet (1974:2). Includes stuhlmanni, which could be a distinct species according to Corbet and Hanks (1968:63).
