Remarks. Easily recognized by the antenna with 13 flagellomeres and a pair of trident-shaped ascoids, the 12th flagellomere is reduced to a vestigial segment, distitarsus without apical projection. Males of this species have long, slender, and curved epandrial appendages, and the females display a distinctive rosette-shaped ornamentation on the subgenital plate.
