Boreoheptagyia brevitarsis (Tokunaga)
Boreoheptagyia brevitarsis (Tokunaga, 1936: 528 –530, Fig. 1 a–b) (as Prodiamesa).
Boreoheptagyia kurobeia Sasa et Okazawa, 1992a: 62 –63, Fig. 22 a–k. [Holotype 233: 084.] Syn. nov.
The hypopygium of the holotype of Boreoheptagyia kurobeia is somewhat distorted by the cover slip and not in a good condition. However, several characters, namely a 13 segmented flagellum with reduced plume, lack of setae on anepisternum and preepisternum, and lack of apical and preapical pseudospurs on all tarsomeres, together with the structure of the hypopygium, indicate that B. kurobeia is conspecific with B. brevitarsis (Tokunaga) .
