Sympotthastia takatensis (Tokunaga)
(Figs. 27–28)
Sympotthastia takatensis (Tokunaga, 1936: 531–532) (as Syndiamesa); Makarchenko (1994: 56–57, Figs. 10–13). Sympotthastia toyamayezea Sasa, 1996: 44 –45, Fig. 33 a–w. [Holotype 274: 064.] S yn. nov.
The following characters of the holotype of Sympotthastia toyamayezea were overlooked in the original description by Sasa (1996): a small spiniform anal point on tergite IX; apically rounded median aedeagal lobe; and lateral aedeagal lobe with spines, almost half as long as median aedeagal lobe (Figs. 27–28). These characters and other morphological details allow us to place S. toyamayezea in synonymy with S. takatensis (Tokunaga) .
