Pseudophloeus lobatus Herrich-Schaeffer, 1840: 561 (as new species); Spathocera dalmani Mulsant & Rey, 1870: 99; non Schilling, 1829.
1. Formerly the genus was included in subfamily Spathocerinae, which is a synonym of Coreinae .
Distribution in Iran. Golestan, Mazandaran (Hoberlandt 1989), Guilan, Zanjan (Linnavuori 2007), Hormozgan (Hoberlandt 1989; Linnavuori 2004).
General distribution. Central Europe, Mediterranean basin, Near East (including Cyprus), Transcaucasia, Central Asia, Russia (East Siberia).
Comments. On Rumex sp. ( Polygonaceae), Salvia sp. and Thymus sp. (both Lamiaceae) (Linnavuori 2004).
