Distribution in Iran. East Azarbaijan (Gharaat et al. 2009).

General distribution. Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, United States (Brailovsky 1999). Comments. Because the general distribution of M. lunata is limited to North and Central America (Brailovsky 1999), its report from Iran is strongly invalid (H. Brailovsky, personal communication).
