Distribution and habitat. Widespread in Europe (Schmelz & Collado 2010); South America (Bolivia) (Martínez-Ansemil & Giani 1986); Russia (Degtyarev et al. 2022, 2023). Common and widespread in neutral to slightly acidic soil, often abundant in litter layer (Schmelz & Collado 2010), also found in freshwater sediment samples (Martínez-Ansemil & Giani 1986).
Distribution in China. Xizang Autonomous Region (Lu et al. 2018). Only juvenile specimens were found in this area.
New records. Qinghai Province, the litter layer of the pine trees in Xining Botanic Park, 36°37′28.41’N, 101°44′17.15’E, 2390 m asl, leg. Y. Ge and Y. Liu, 05. 2019. Both juvenile and adult specimens were found in this area.
