Distribution and habitat. A cosmopolitan species distributed in Brazil, South Africa, India, Australia and New Zealand (Schmelz 2003), Korea (Dózsa-Farkas et al. 2015).

Distribution in China. Xizang Autonomous Region (Lu et al. 2018); Chongqing, Jiangsu and Guizhou Province (Cui & Wang 2023).

New record. Hubei Province, Mount Shizi, litter layer of hardwood forest (30°28’42.57”N, 114°21’10.48”E; 44 m asl), leg. Y. Ge, 06. 2019.
