Acanthoderes (Scythropopsis) virescens (Fuchs, 1962) transfer
Fig. 1
Acanthoderes (Psapharochrus) virescens Fuchs, 1962: 323 . Psapharochrus virescens; Monné, 2005: 214 (catalogue).
The flattened tibiae and the antennae shorter than the body in both sexes are the most remarkable characters of the subgenus Scythropopsis Thomson, 1864 . The transfer is proposed based upon examination of the photograph of the female paratype (CHSV) and two specimens from MNRJ.
Acanthoderes (Psapharochrus) virescens is very similar in colour and structure to Acanthoderes (Scythropopsis) albitarsis Laporte, 1840, largely distributed in east and south Brazil.
Specimens examined. PERU, Huánuco: Rio Huallaga, female, I.1985 (L. Peña) (MNRJ). Junin: Chanchamayo, female (MNRJ).
Geographical distribution. Peru.
