The examination of the photograph of the holotype male of Acanthoderes (Psapharochrus) hassenteufeli Fuchs, 1958, from Bolivia, Larecaja, Cerro Paititi, led us to propose the transfer of this species to Oreodera Audinet-Serville, 1835, based mainly upon the long antennae and well-developed forelegs.

Specimen examined. BOLIVIA, San Antonio: male (MNRJ).

Geographical distribution. Bolivia.
