Type Locality: Canada, "Mt. Albert, Gaspé Peninsula, Quebec, 2000 feet [= 610 m] elevation".

Vernacular Names: Gaspe Shrew.

Distribution: Gaspe Peninsula, N New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Cape Breton Isl (Canada).

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
