Hyperantha (Poecilonata) trigonalis Chevrolat, 1838a:81 . [Figure 53A & 53B]

Syntype: “Type // Type. // Trigona Chevr. // Saunders. 74·18. // NHMUK011520824”.

Current status: Synonym of Hiperantha (Hiperantha) menetriesii Mannerheim, 1837 (Bellamy, 2008) .

Comments: Chevrolat (1838a:81), in his original description, named the species “ trigonalis ”, but the label on the syntype reads “ trigona”, probably in Chevrolat’s hand. The published text being decisive, the correct name is “ trigonalis ”.
