Subspecies: H. i. ichneumon (Linnaeus, 1758) .

Distribution: Uncommon; restricted to the coastal mountainous habitat and southwestern region (Fig. 101).

Previous records: Al-Quneitra (Shehab 2002), around Lattakia and Al-Ghota (Masseti 2009).

Recent records: Amreet (2010), Slenfeh (2014), Kersana and Sqoubin (2021), as-Sarsakiyah and ash-Sheir (2022).
