67. Botta’s Serotine, Eptesicus bottae (Peters, 1869)

Subspecies: E. b. hingstoni Thomas, 1919 .
Distribution: Common in arid areas; confined to the rocky terrain and crevices along the Euphrates Valley, at Palmyra, and in the hills of Mesopotamia (Fig. 74).
Previous records: Qater Maghara (Ebenau 1996, Shehab et al. 2004), es-Salihiyyeh, Halabiyyeh, Sbeikhan, Zalabiyyeh, Balis, Khazneh and er-Rasafah (Benda et al. 2006), Qal’at er-Rahba, Halabiyyeh, er- Rasafah, Palmyra, and Qal’at Fakhr ad-Din Al-Maani (Shehab et al. 2007).
