Subspecies: R. a. aegyptiacus (Geoffroy, 1810) .

Distribution: Uncommon; confined to various agricultural lands. Coastal region, Orontes Basin, Yarmuk Valley, and north of Aleppo (Fig. 55).

Previous records: Al Watta Cave (Frumkin 1988), Hamama (Shehab & Mamkhair 2004), Tell Shhab, Qal’at al-Hosson, Odem Forest (Benda et al. 2006), Hamama (Shehab et al. 2007), Al-Furunlok (Daoud & Khalil 2009b), and Al-Dawwar Cave (Al-Ramadan et al. 2020).

Recent records: Al-Bahlouliyah (2018); Seifat, north of Aleppo, and Mashqita (2020).
