Phytodietus varicolor Seyrig, 1935 (Fig. 3)
Material examined. KENYA: female, Rift Valley Province, Elsamere Conservation Centre, 0.18306ᵒ S, 36.31585ᵒ E, 1913m, Malaise trap in lacustrine forest remnant, 26.iv.–10.v.2019, leg. R . Copeland (deposited in: ICIPE) .
Diagnosis. This species is characterized by the combination of the following features: areolet in fore wing closed (vein 3 rs-m present), flagellum brownish, without a yellow band, mesosoma in female black proximally and orange distally, first metasomal tergite orange.
Distribution. Democratic Republic of Congo (Benoit, 1953), Kenya (Seyrig, 1935).
