Fig. 16 A–C

Pirata garamantica Caporiacco, 1936: 89, fig. 6 (♀). Arkalosula garamantica: Roewer 1955b: 231 .

Trochosomma garamantica: Roewer 1960a: 853, figs 474a–b (♀ transferred from Arkalosula = Arctosa).

Trochosa garamantica: World Spider Catalog 2020 .

Comments. This species was described based on several females collected in Fezzan (Southwestern Libya). Caporiacco indicated its size as 7 mm (3 mm carapace and 4.1 mm abdomen) in length. Judging from the shape of the epigyne given in Caporiacco (1936) and Roewer (1960a), it is neither Pirata nor Trochosa but is most similar to Alopecosa simoni (Thorell, 1872) and A. pentheri (Nosek, 1905), members of the A. cursor -group (see Marusik et al. 2018; Nentwig et al. 2020) and because of this similarity, we transfer this species to Alopecosa .
