Pradomyia gen. nov.

Type species. Pradomyia hadromera, sp. nov., by present designation.

Etymology. Named in honor of the Brazilian dipterist, Angelo Pires do Prado, who pioneered work on Neotropical Odiniidae, adding the Greek feminine word myia, meaning fly, to the end.
