Telethera Meyrick, 1913 . Type species: Telethera blepharacma Meyrick, 1913, by monotypy.

The genus Telethera can be easily recognized by a unique compound eye structure. In both sexes, compound eye partially divided by a scaled projection of posterior margin (Fig. 6)

Distribution. China, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand (Heppner 2005).
