Current name: Strychnos nux-vomica L. ( Strychnaceae).

Note: Bisset & al. (in Lloydia 36: 189. 1973) designated Herb. Hermann 4: 33, No. 91 (BM) as lectotype. However, this choice is pre-dated by that of Tirel-Roudet.
