Sedum telephium Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 430. 1753.
"Habitat in Europae siccissimis." RCN: 3345.
Lectotype (Webb in Feddes Repert. 64: 19. 1961): [icon] "Telephium album" in Fuchs, Hist. Stirp.: 799, 800. 1542.
Current name: Hylotelephium telephium (L.) H. Ohba ( Crassulaceae).
Note: Fröderström (in Acta Horti Gothob. 5, App.: 55-56. 1930) discussed the varied application of the autonym, himself favouring the white-flowered Scandinavian form as the typical variety. This was formalised by Webb’s type choice but other authors have sometimes treated this form as taxonomically distinct from H. telephium sensu stricto .
