Current name: Seguieria americana L. ( Phytolaccaceae).
Note: In the absence of original material, Nowicke (in Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 55: 331. 1968) designated a neotype, but her choice was subsequently rejected by Rohwer on the grounds of its conflict with the protologue, and another neotype designated in its place.
