Zelandalbia acuta Cook, 1991
(Fig. 22A–C)
Material examined. New Zealand, South Island: Selwyn River near Scotts, 07.vi.2004, 0/1/0 (mounted); Selwyn River near Gillanders, 22.x.2004, 0/0/1.
Remarks. The specimens from the Selwyn river fit the description given by Cook (1991) for Z. acuta except for the more slender capitular rostrum (Fig. 22C) and palp segments (Fig. 22B). The variability of further specimens needs to be examined to clarify the taxonomy. Only the female sex of this species is known.
Distribution. New Zealand; previously reported from driven wells in the vicinity of Nelson, South Island (Cook 1991).
