Tmetonota dispar Miller, 1929

Material examined. Kenya, Mombasa 1930, O. Krüber (1♀ short-winged) (ZMUH) .

Remarks. The specimen above listed matches well the description by Miller (1929) of T. dispar from Tanzania, in particular the short tegmina; the other species of the genus known to occur in the East Africa is T. rugosa (Stål, 1873), whose females are long-winged (Dirsh 1970, H. Rowell, pers. comm.). This is the first record of T. dispar from Kenya.
