Family Cardiidae Lamarck, 1809 (12 species)

Remarks: Laevicardium pristis (Bory de Saint-Vincent, 1827) is recorded from Brazil by the CTFB (2024), but this occurrence needs confirmation. This species appears to be restricted from the coast of the USA (Florida), Bahamas, Colombia, and Venezuela (Huber 2010a).
