Bathymetric distribution: 111–153 m —SW.

Geographical distribution: Brazil (SP to RS)—B.

Remarks: This species was only described from Brazilian waters, including from the southernmost Brazilian State of Rio Grande do Sul, which suggests its occurrence in the Argentine province. However, it was not noticed from

Uruguay by Scarabino (2003) and Scarabino et al. (2016), nor from Argentina by Zelaya (2016), and so it is here considered as endemic from Brazil.
