Bathymetric distribution: 0–10 m —SW.

Geographical distribution: Colombia, Brazil (PI, ES to RS)—C/B.

Remarks: This species has been frequently referred to from Brazil as Cooperella atlantica Rehder, 1943 (e.g., Rios 1970, 1975, 1985, 1994, 2009). It was recorded by Huber (2010b) from the southernmost Brazilian State of Rio Grande do Sul, suggesting its occurrence in the Argentine province. However, it was not noticed from Uruguay by Scarabino et al. (2016), nor from Argentina by Zelaya (2016).
