Bathymetric distribution: 5–100 m —SW.

Geographical distribution: USA ( Florida Keys) to Brazil (AP to RS; FN and Atol das Rocas)—C/B.

Remarks: This species was recorded from the southernmost Brazilian State of Rio Grande do Sul, suggesting its occurrence in the Argentine province. However, it was not noticed from Uruguay by Scarabino (2003) and Scarabino et al. (2016), nor from Argentina by Zelaya (2016).
