521. Spinosipella tinga Simone & Cunha, 2008 ★ ■
Bathymetric distribution: 100–1050 m —WBD.
Geographical distribution: Brazil (RJ to RS)—B.
Remarks: Marini (1974) and Rios (1975, 1985, 1994) recorded this species as Verticordia acuticostata (R. A. Philippi, 1844) and Verticordia deshayesiana (P. Fischer, 1862) . Rios (2009) considered S. tinga “just an extreme variation” of S. agnes . Spinopsipella tinga was recorded from the southernmost Brazilian State of Rio Grande do Sul, suggesting its occurrence in the Argentine province. However, it was not noticed from Uruguay by Scarabino et al. (2016), nor from Argentina by Zelaya (2016), and so it is here considered as endemic from Brazil.
