Lectotype (designated here):— SURINAME. 06 March 1908, Boschbeheer 88 (U! [U0006912]; isolectotypes K! [K000381811]; L! [L0013078]; U! [U0006911]).

Pulle (1909) cited Boschbeheer 88 as type of Luehea rugosa, specifying U as the repository herbarium. We found original collection in U and two duplicates in K and L. For this reason, in accordance with Art. 9.3 of the ICN, we designate here, among the syntypes, the specimen U [U0006912] as the lectotype of the L. rugosa .
