In the protologue of L. hoehnei, the specimen Hoehne 2091 in B is cited as the type. Unfortunately, this specimen was destroyed, and no other duplicate was found in the herbaria consulted. For this reason, in according to Art. 9.8 and 9.16 of the ICN, we designate herein Engels & Bezerra 4680 (RB [RB01223733]) as the neotype. It was selected based on the geographical origin of the lost holotype and morphological characteristics described in the protologue and seen in the Field Negatives collection.
