Zoothamnium niveum (Hemprich & Ehrenberg, 1838)

Report as epibiont on bryozoans: This species was reported on bryozoans and algae from Strait of Georgia, Canada (Wailes 1943; Mccazuley & Hancock 1971).

Report as epibiont on other hosts: The species is widely distributed, in particular, was found in Xiamen (Amoy), China (Wang & Nie 1932) on algae, also on the vertical walls of a tidal channel cut into mangrove peat in Twin Cays (Belize Barrier Reef, the Caribbean Sea) (Bauer-Nebelsick et al. 1996).
