Luxophrya limbata (Maupas, 1881)
Report as epibiont on bryozoans: This species was reported on bryozoans found at Pacific coast of Canada, British Columbia, Strait of Georgia (Wailes 1943; Mccauley & Hancock 1971).
Report as epibiont on other hosts: The species was found on algae and hydroids from Algeria coast (Maupas 1881, Kahl 1934), on hydroids from Australian coast (Kahl 1934), the North sea and Atlantic coast (Sand 1901), Roscoff and Sète (France) (Collin 1912), the Yellow sea near Quingdao (China) (Chen et al. 2005).
Remarks: Luxophrya limbata is a type species of genus Luxophrya but was discussed in the review paper of Curds (1987) under scientific name Paracineta limbata . However, the generic name Luxophrya was accepted both in Dovgal (2002) and Lynn (2008).
