Recorded from Bhutan by Schedl (1975) as Xyleborus corporaali Eggers. A specimen in NHMB identified and recorded by Schedl (1975) was examined by RAB and found to be misidentified. The corrected record is given by Smith et al. (2020).
Distribution. Bhutan, China (Yunnan), India (Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal), Indonesia (Sumatra), Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam.
Biology. Recorded from Castanopsis and Quercus (Fagaceae), and probably with a close association with Fagaceae (Beaver et al. 2014) .
