REMARKS: Blackwelder (1945) and Blackwelder & Arnett (1974) mixed Photinus blandus Jacquelin du Val, 1857 (Cuba record) and Pygolampis blanda Motchulsky, 1854c (Hispaniola record). The latter is most likely a species from Brazil placed in Lampyridae incertae sedis by McDermott (1966)
