Material examined. CHINA: Yunnan Province: Fugong County: 1 Ψ, Pihe Township, Yueliangtian Village [N26.56784º, E98.90884º], 1520 m, 20–24 August 2005, Guo Tang (HNU-Tang 050801).
Diagnosis. The female is very similar to that of L. coronatus (Grube, 1861) in the epigyne, but can be separated from the latter by: the sclerotized plate arc-shaped (saddle-shaped in L. coronatus).
Description. Female (HNU-Tang 050801): Total length 2.80. Prosoma 1.20 long, 1.10 wide; opisthosoma 1.70 long, 1.30 wide. Dorsal shield of prosoma blackish brown, with long setae, medially yellow with black lines. Both AER and PER strongly recurved. Eye tubercles pale gray. ALE>PLE>AME>PME. Chelicerae brown with black medial stripes, labium, gnathocoxae brown. Legs I, II yellow brown with blackish brown annuli, tibiae and metatarsi I, II both with 2 pairs of ventral spines. Leg measurements: I: 4.40 (1.40, 1.50, 1.00, 0.50), II: 4.50 (1.50, 1.50, 1.00, 0.50), III: 3.00 (1.00, 0.90, 0.60, 0.50), IV: 3.10 (1.00, 1.10, 0.60, 0.40), formula: 2, 1, 4, 3. Opisthosoma ovoid, dorsum light gray with black spots; anteriorly with a pair of black spots and some black dots; posteriorly with 2 pairs of black spots; laterally with black markings; venter light gray with a large rectangular black marking medially.
Epigyne-vulva (Figs 10 b–e). Sclerotized plate much wider than long, medially slightly concave; copulatory openings lateral; copulatory ducts curved in “n”-shape; spermathecae globular.
Male: See Ono (1979), unknown from China at present.
Distribution. Nepal, Bhutan; China (new to China, recorded from Fugong County of Yunnan Province).
