Makrokylindrus (A.) totzkei Mühlenhardt-Siegel, 2005
Material. DIVA II, EBS #89-S: 1 subadult male with developing pleopods ZMH: K-43927.
Distribution. Angola and Guinea Basins, 5142–5415 m depth.
Remarks. The single subadult male with developing pleopods still has small exopods on pereiopods 3 and 4. Its carapace, pereion, and pleon as well as the extremities are heavily beset with spines. Long spines are also present at the sternites of the pereion. The pseudorostral lobes have a pair of anteriorly directed long spines. The telson is longer than the uropod peduncle and beset with many spines distributed all over the surface. The subadult male resembles very much the female described from the Angola Basin (Mühlenhardt-Siegel 2005e). However, the male has many more spines.
