Diastylidae

In total, 11 morphotypes are present in the collections examined: eight morphotypes in the DIVA II collection and three in the Ifremer collection. Eight species were represented only by single specimens. The species Makrokylindrus (Adiastylis) renatae, M. (M.) meteorae, M. (A.) duplosetosus, M. (A.) paramonodi and M. (A.) totzkei were all described from the Angola Basin by Mühlenhardt-Siegel (2005e), Leptostylis macrura Sars, 1869 and Diastylis algoae Zimmer, 1908 were described much earlier.
