Remarks.

The taxonomy of Bathynomus has been reviewed by Bruce (1986), Magalhães and Young (2003), with most recently by Lowry and Dempsey (2006). Two new species were added by Shipley et al. (2016) and Kou et al. (2017). The most recent review on Bathynomus fossils was done by Hyžný et al. (2019).
