Distribution records. The original description recorded the species from Óbidos, State of Pará, northern Brazil (1º54'07''S, 55º31'10''W); two other geographic records were reported by Nogueira & Aguiar (2005), from Caxiuanã, also in Pará, at about 460 km from the type locality, and from Uruaçu, state of Goiás, central Brazil (14º17.0'S 48º54.8'W). Three new records are provided here: one from Reserva Florestal Adolfo Ducke, at Manaus, Amazonas (3º00'16''S 59º56'37''W), Brazil; one from Kalacoon, Cuyuni-Mazaruni (“Bartica District” on the label), Guyana (6º24'00''N, 58º39'00''W); and one from Iwokrama Forest Reserve, Region 8, Guyana (4º40'19''N 58º41'04''W). Most distribution records, including possibly also Kalacoon, are from dense, well preserved equatorial forests, while Uruaçu is in an area of open, savannah-like vegetation, the Brazilian Cerrado.
