Redescription. Female. Integument black. Pubescence predominantly blackish except for pale-yellow maculae as follows: occiput with median longitudinal line and short line behind each superior lobe of eyes; pronotum with median longitudinal line more than lateral lines; each elytron with 8 to 9 spots, four on basal half and the others on apical half (Fig. 1).
Antennae reaching apices of elytra at apex of antennomere VI. Prothorax with a minute lateral tubercle at beginning of apical third; single line of punctures near posterior margin. Elytra with apices transversely truncate, external angle projecting in acute spine. Punctures very sparse on basal half, almost obsolete on apical half. Fifth urotergite subacute at apex; urosternite semicircularly emarginate. Metatarsomere I as long as II + III.
Measurements (mm), female. Total length, 6.9; prothorax length, 1.3; prothorax width, 1.5; elytral length, 4.9; humeral width, 2.0.
Distribution. Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama.
Specimens examined. COSTA RICA. Limón: female, 26.II.1925, Nevermann col. (J. Melzer det. MZSP).
