Type Locality: Vohibasia Forest [Forêt de Vohibasia], 59 km northeast of Sakaraha, Province de Toliara, SW Madagascar, 22°27.5’S 44°50.5’E, 780 m.

Vernacular Names: Nasolo's Shrew Tenrec.

Distribution: Known only from transitional dry deciduous forest at the type locality and Analavelona Forest, SW Madagascar.
