This species is only known from the Mediterranean basin. It has been mainly reported from plants of family Poaceae . This is the first report of this species from Morocco. Only one study deals with its biology. Tsolakis et al. (2013) showed its ability to feed on T. urticae and P. citri .

Specimens examined: 2003, Larache Beach on Echium vulgare (Boraginaceae) (1 female). Previous records: Algeria, Israel, Tunisia.
