Crocidium microstictum Hesse, 1963 (Figs 10­11)

Crocidium microstictum Hesse 1963: 273 ­275, 284; Hull, 1973: 185; Bowden, 1980: 399; Evenhuis & Greathead, 1999: 216.

Male genitalia: gonocoxa elongated; distiphallus short, not surpassing apex of posterior process of gonocoxa; lateral aedeagal apodeme surpassing gonocoxal margins; gonostylus flattened, hook shaped, very narrow apically (Fig. 10).

Spermathecae: spermathecae globose with longitudinal axis equivalent to ½ of sperm pump length; spermathecal ducts 8 times longer than sperm pump, uniting to form a short common spermathecal duct; sperm pump placed at nearly basal 1/3 of the spermathecal duct; sclerotized collars of sperm pumps smaller on basal ends than on apical ones. Material examined: Paratypes. South Africa. Western Cape: Citrusdal, 2 males (one dissected) and 2 females (one dissected), Nov. 1948, (collector unknown). Deposited in the South African Museum, Cape Town, South Africa.
