Generitype of Dalechampia Linnaeus.

Current name: Dalechampia scandens L. ( Euphorbiaceae).

Note: Radcliffe-Smith (in Polhill, Fl. Trop. E. Africa, Euphorbiaceae: 287 (1987) wrongly indicated 1138.3 (LINN), a sheet annotated only by Linnaeus filius and not original material for the name, as holotype. Armbruster (in Syst. Bot. 13: 310. 1988) stated the type "is presumably in Hortus Cliffortianus Herb. (BM)", but no specimen is preserved there.
