Type material: holotype ♀, Africa, East Tropical Africa, Tanzania, Onyanyembe, Tabora. MNCN .

Description (Bolívar 1890; Otte et al. 1988). Resembles B. calaharicus closely, but with higher head and with a depression on forehead between lateral ocelli. Body colour dark brown; legs and venter pale brown; cheeks pale brown but with a black marking below each eye. Pronotum: disc dark brown; with a pale area in lower anterior half of lateral lobes. Forewings dark brown, extending beyond end of abdomen. Hind wings extending well beyond forewings. Front and middle legs similar to B. calaharicus . Hind legs: femora pale brown with a dark band next to knees.
