13. Millettia nigrescens Gagnepain (1913: 360) .

Type: — CAMBODIA. Preah Vihear, Kompong Soai, February 1876, F. J. Harmand 412 (holotype: P02141829 image!; isotypes: BO-1703789!, K000848785!, P02141830 image!, P02141831 image!) .

Hô (1999) recorded this species from Vietnam, but Lôc & Vidal (2001) suggested that it was known only from the types. We did not find any specimens except for the five type specimens from Cambodia. Thus, it was excluded here from the flora of Vietnam. It is a very poorly known species and is characterised by its tree habit, the presence of stipels, 7 leaflets per leaf, leaflets and flowers becoming black when dry, distinct brachyblasts bearing 2–5 flowers, and a standard with basal callosities.
