Persian Gulf. Utinomi (1969) from Khark Island in Iran (Fig. 1); present study.
Gulf of Oman. No record.
General distribution and habitat. Tropical Atlantic and Indo-West Pacific; attached to sea turtles (Jones et al. 2000).
Descriptive features and remarks. In all specimens radii notched on both sides (Fig. 3 c). Largest specimen with basal diameter 40.22 mm, height 9.0 mm, orifice diameter 11.11 mm.
The specimens were found attached to the carapace of the green turtle Chelonia mydas in Nayband (27° 23'N, 52° 39'E) and Qeshm Island (26° 41'N, 55° 42'E) (Fig. 1).
