Gulf of Oman. First record for the Gulf of Oman.
General distribution and habitat. Cosmopolitan in tropical to temperate regions; on floating objects (Jones et al. 2000).
Descriptive features and remarks. Specimens with four filamentary appendages on each side, three on base of CI and one on prosoma. Largest specimen with baso-apical length 38.77 mm.
During this study, the specimens were collected from various floating objects consisting of internal shells of cuttlefish, wood, bottles, aluminium sheets and floating plastic canteens at Minab (26° 31'N, 57° 04'E), Bandar- Lengeh (26° 36'N, 54° 54'E), Chabahar (25° 16'N, 60°44'E) and Jask (25° 35'N, 58° 02'E) (Fig. 1).
